Extracted from the flowers of bitter orange trees, neroli essential oil offers a bassy, rich, mildly floral, citrus undertone with benefits to both skin and mood. Bitter orange oil was highly revered in ancient Egypt and China for its intoxicating scent and medicinal value, and the oil was later named “Neroli” after the princess of Nerola, Italy, who used the oil to scent her bathwater and gloves
